Meg Sarachan, DirectorAlderman Heritage Films is directed by Meg Sarachan, an award-winning documentarian. She brings her love of history and storytelling to every heritage project.
Most recently, Meg edited the film BLACK BALLERINA, which was broadcast on PBS and shown at film festivals around the world. It received the first place documentary award at Berlin's Black International Cinema Festival. Called "affecting" (San Francisco Chronicle) and "eye-opening" (Philadelphia Inquirer), Meg used archival photos overlaid with modern ballet footage to bring to life the stories of four African-American dancers. For THE BARNES COLLECTION on PBS, Meg researched archival sources in North America and Europe to bring emotion and nuance to the story of Philadelphia's most infamous art collector. She also edited the film, which the Wall Street Journal called "a fabulous account of Albert C. Barnes." |
